My Approach to Helping

Over 35 years of experience, here to listen, clarify, guide and support your goals for improved living, for improved health.

I am an experienced licensed psychologist, able to see adult telehealth clients in most states. Areas of special interest include anxiety, depression, chronic illness, life transitions, as well as general mental health issues. I provide cognitive behavioral therapy generally lasting 3 to 12 sessions with as needed follow-up support sessions. My style of counseling is interactive, skill and insight building and nonjudgmental.

I do not provide substance-abuse treatment, psychological testingevaluation, court related or forensic work.

More Info About My Practice

I’ve worked as a telehealth provider for over 10 years and as a mental health psychologist for 35 years. I provide brief and standard length, cognitive behavioral therapy based therapy. My style is supportive and interactive. This is a no judgment zone; a supportive place to get feedback, guidance, skill, and clarity which can support your goal of feeling better.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Going to therapy might be looked at as going to a library with a respectful librarian as a guide who helps summarize, understand and direct you to where you might find the answers you are seeking. Some of the books contain things you do not yet know, in part because no one ever taught you. Some of the books contain your own history of difficulties, coping patterns, hopes, dreams and capacities that you have not yet realized. You bring the courage and curiosity with an intention of coming away improved. It is a responsible, active and brave process and does not mean that you are weak.
