My Approach to Helping

I lean toward a humanistic approach, acknowledging our own unique traits and values. I assume that in the right setting we can be who we want to be.

More Info About My Practice

I keep weird hours. We can meet as early as 7:00am. I wrap it up by 7:00pm because I'm an old man.

Saturdays? Can do. Sundays after 1:00pm. Dogs? Sure. Mine comes sometimes.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

We touch on what's not quite right at the beginning but everything else is geared towards better. What will be better? How do we know what better is? Can we measure better? Who doesn't mind a little better?

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Time in the office is to focus on clarifying and planning. Time outside the office is when new views and actions are put into practice. One goal is for you to learn enough in here that you don't need to come back. I can't predict the number of sessions you need but I teach skills and awareness from the first visit on. Benefit isn't measured by number of visits but by how you feel.
