My Approach to Helping
*NOW ACCEPTING NEW MEDICARE PATIENTS* Sometimes life can be hard, lonely, and confusing - you don't need to figure it out all alone. I can help you. Psychotherapy is your safe space to examine yourself, your relationships, and to understand how old ways of coping might not work for you any more. I can help you develop effective coping skills that you can take with you to navigate challenging situations, feelings, and relationships now and in the future.
More Info About My Practice
I work from an integrative approach, drawing primarily from a psychodynamic orientation. A significant piece of my therapeutic style is developing effective coping skills with the belief that everyone does the best they can with the resources they have. This is individual, very personal work and is different for everyone. I have over ten years working with both adults and children with a range of issues including depression, eating disorders, stress and anxiety, domestic violence, relationship issues, addiction, divorce, and gender identity issues Additionally, I have significant experience working with acculturation issues, grief and loss, parenting issues, bipolar and mood disorders, anger management, and end-of-life issues. Whether you are interested in short-term interventions or a longer insight oriented self-exploration, I can help you figure out what you are facing and develop skills to manage long-term change in your life.
