My Approach to Helping
I have been working closely with people struggling with mental illness, addictions, and emotional pain professionally for the past decade. I have developed an understanding that people typically use unhealthy ways of coping because they are suffering from emotional pain, usually caused by some form of psychological trauma. I can help you identify the root cause of your suffering, and together, we can find healthier ways to cope with the pain, and you can start to feel better again!
My Role as a Therapist
I?m here to help you learn more about yourself. Consider me a sounding board. I can help you sort out some of the inner conflicts that you have been struggling with and help you determine if there are outside environmental influences that may be causing you unhappiness. Once you and I determine the source or sources of your pain or discomfort, together, we can determine an action plan to improve your life and implement it, step by step! We can see what is helpful and what isn?t helpful and make adjustments as we go. Before you know it, you are back in control of your life and feeling better than ever!
