My Approach to Helping

As a therapist, I enjoy helping people overcome challenges in their lives and find greater happiness. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment that provides the space for individuals to explore and find solutions to their issues. As an attentive listener who works in a respectful and open way, I help people examine their lives and serve as a guide to uncover the patterns and obstacles that may impede their personal growth.

Over the years, I've seen that as individuals come to a better understanding and develop a greater awareness of their thoughts, feelings and actions, possibilities for change emerge. New and innovative ways of thinking and acting lead them to greater likelihood of problem resolution, increased connection with others, fewer feelings of alienation, and deepened capacities for joy and meaning.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Some areas that have been central to my practice include working with people who are lacking energy or motivation to move forward, grieving the loss of a loved one, suffering from substance abuse, and troubled by anxiety, social discomfort, panic attacks, or work stress.

Issues that I have frequently addressed with couples include being in unhappy or destructive relationships, in crisis about their future together, feeling distraught from lack of success in communication and sexual incompatibility.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Helping others to achieve greater happiness in their lives by listening to them and guiding them in their journey of personal exploration is a privilege. My own therapy experience has been invaluable, both in terms of personal growth and in gaining the perspective of what it is like to be a client. I understand the vulnerability and courage it takes to give voice to your fears and concerns. Assisting people as they cross over their own hurdles to a more satisfying future is very rewarding.
