My Approach to Helping
Hope is what carries us forward in life. We need it to feel like there's a purpose for living. I work with individuals who deal with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem concerns, relational problems, existential issues, cultural issues, and other mental health issues. I believe that the therapeutic relationship can be the starting place for where hope is restored. Through the therapeutic relationship, I believe that people can start to trust, accept, and love who they are, and as a result, change the outlook and circumstances of their lives.
First and foremost, I like to meet my clients where they are at in life, and take into consideration their goals, beliefs, values, and needs. Primarily, I work from a person-centered approach, but I also work from other approaches as well, such as existential, strengths-based, and narrative.
