My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed clinical social worker with advanced training in the treatment of families and couples. I help individuals and couples communicate better, break their negative cycles, enhance their ability to express emotions and generally feel more seen and heard by the meaningful people in their lives. With a focus on personal insight and self-compassion, I provide empathy, safety and guidance to my clients throughout the therapeutic process.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical and encouraging. I specialize in helping people listen and understand their own needs and to accept their genuine selves so that they can engage with the world and the people close to them in more satisfying ways. I help my clients improve closeness to important others, enhance intimacy and fun in their relationships, and resolve relationship issues with solutions we determine together by tapping into each person's unique internal resources. I teach couples how to create a safe, relaxed space where both partners can express themselves and feel validated.
