My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with advanced training in the treatment of families and couples. I help my clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, chronic overthinking and critical self-talk shift the way they think and feel about themselves which in turn, enhances self-esteem and ability to connect with others in meaningful ways. I strive to help my clients better understand their emotions, get curious about why they feel what they feel and reduce emotional reactivity. With a focus on personal insight and self-compassion, I provide empathy, safety and guidance to my clients throughout the therapeutic process.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical and encouraging. I use a strength based perspective to help people understand their own needs, to accept their genuine selves, and to heal pain from the past so that they can begin to finally feel calmer and happier.

I work collaboratively with each client as a unique individual with their own needs and desires for change. I help people become more accepting of themselves so that they can make whatever changes they would like to make. My commitment is to the well-being and satisfaction of my clients and I welcome individuals and couples (both same-sex and heterosexual) who are looking to improve, heal and enjoy their lives.
It is important to feel comfortable and at ease with the therapist you choose. I offer a free ten-minute phone consultation to potential clients seeking individual or couples counseling. This is an opportunity to get a feel for one another and determine if working together will be right for you.
