My Approach to Helping
We all go through difficult times, no matter who we are. Sometimes we feel so out of touch to the life we find ourselves living. Sometimes the goal is just to make it through the day in one piece. And sometimes it's just trying to salvage our self-esteem from the daily onslaught of social media. Here's where therapy comes in. I believe that therapy can help you get back that connection and bring meaning back into your life. It can allow you to get your bearing and find hope, regardless of what life attempts to throw your way. More importantly, I believe that therapy can help you improve and increase your self-worth. Please note that because of COVID-19 I'm only seeing clients via video sessions.
More Info About My Practice
I believe therapy is a partnership that has to be a good fit for YOU. That partnership is essential to you feeling understood, safe, and ultimately heard. And, yes, I use art but that doesn't mean you have to. Promise. Here's the deal: Art therapy is not about ART. For me, art therapy is about using art materials as another 'language' to help you explore what is going on and give you another tool when words fail you or it gets to be too much.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I truly love what I do because I get the opportunity to bring hope back into my clients' lives. I believe that everyone has the ability to not need therapy - honestly. It's just that sometimes we have to GO to therapy to find those tools again. Everyone has their own unique strengths and sometimes we just need help recognizing them. My job is to help my clients discover and build on those strengths so that they can have the life they want.
