I use psychodynamic, behavioral and mindfulness approaches to help clients reach their goals. Each person is different so the therapeutic techniques and relationship will be different with each person. I provide individual, couples and family therapy. I am providing online therapy through a number of platforms. I can be an out of network provider for most PPO insurance holders.

I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. I don't think that you have to be especially flawed or distressed to seek and benefit from therapy. Therapy can help alleviate chronic and acute distress as well as to simply improve quality of life. I think that we all develop habits of dealing with life- with fears, stress, relationships, etc- these habits fall somewhere on the spectrum of completely unhealthyunhelpful to completely healthyhelpful. Therapy helps to move these habits closer to the healthy and helpful side. This changes how we experience ourselves, our relationships and our lives. The goal is to help you create and maintain as much change as you would like.

When choosing your therapist, I think that it is crucial that you choose a person you can trust and who you feel sees you. I think knowing that you can be safe and comfortable with a therapist is a necessity. Sometimes this can take some time to develop and you have to trust your intuition. Also feeling that your therapist sees you and is on your side is very important. Research has shown that the therapeutic relationship is a key factor in success of treatment. I believe that empathy and trust are key in a therapeutic relationship.
