My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Missouri, Wisconsin, and Minnesota with over 9 years of extensive experience working with specific populations in sex therapy, couples’ therapy, and individual therapy. My clinical work includes marital preparation, effective communication and conflict resolution, discrepancies in sexual desire and intimacy, and problematic sexual issues. I am also certified in PREPAREENRICH working with couples.
I implement the training I have undergone with APSATS (The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists) in working with spousespartners of sex addicts. I currently am in the process of obtaining my CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) certification and am considered a CSAT Candidate working with the addict directly. I utilize EMDR to focus on the trauma individualscouples may have.
As a therapist I come from a systemic approach evaluating parts of a system as a whole and how they relate to one another. My ability to offer straightforward feedback and guidance with compassion and empathy, allows her clients to take ownership of the therapeutic process as they strive to reach their potential.
