My Approach to Helping
You may be blocked or feeling helpless, stuck, or at a loss for how to cope. You may be unsure where to begin or how to continue in your journey with more joy, meaning, and purpose. I focus on your strengths and believe in the inherent wisdom each person has. I work to combine my lived life experience and clinical training in my practice. My specialties include helping people to navigate grief, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, problematic substance use, depression, and spiritual conflicts.
My training includes two Master's Degrees in social work and theology. I have certifications in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT ), cbt for Insomnia (CBTI), and motivational interviewing ( MI).
I will journey with you nonjudgmentally to help you identify and work on your goals. I will model, facilitate, and help you discover new ways of being, of coping, and of behaving, so you can develop and practice new skills to regulate your emotions in a way that serves your best interest.
