My Approach to Helping
I help people understand how to change by coming alongside individuals, couples and teens wrestling with concerns regarding their mental health. I show people how emotions work while helping them to set goals and make the changes necessary so they can relate better to themselves and others . My goal with every person I meet, is to help them to understand how the body and brain interrelate. This helps people understand why change is hard and makes the most of their time in therapy. My approach to counseling is summed up in the words of the psychologist William James "The great thing in all education is to make our nervous system our ally instead of our enemy."
