My Approach to Helping

Our lives are a continual process of growth, breakdown and renewal. It is my belief that we are never broken just sometimes in a state of breakdown which is an integral part of the process of transformation. The change process requires a shedding of old beliefs, behavioral patterns and systems which are created over a lifetime. As with all aspects of life this process is easier done with healthy support.

Each person that finds their way to my office will enter into a process of Discovery, Insight and Growth. We will work together to understand the mechanisms that reinforce stuck behavioral patterns and then begin to create new ways of thinking, feeling, seeing and breathing in the world.

I am an out of the box thinker who utilizes transformational coaching techniques in combination with traditional psychotherapy tools. I believe that coaching and therapy are not mutually exclusive. Used together they can best get to the source of core issues while creating a foundation of commitment, action and consistent practice, so that you can bring your dreams and vision to fruition.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Therapy and Life Coaching can be an amazing process. While it can be challenging and even painful at times, ultimately it can be a joyful, creative, interesting and engaging experience. This process is about the most important person in the world, YOU.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My strong desire to understand my world and to live beyond the circumstances of my youth brought me to the work of Psychotherapy. Every difficult, painful, existentially confounding experience such as illness, death, divorce, abuse, loss, and addiction have supported my process of understanding the potentialities of being human. My experiences have made me deeply compassionate and loving. Yet at the same time, I have become a keen observer and listener who accepts others fully while always holding the vision for the possibility of creating more understanding, more love, more joy, and more abundance. I truly believe that you can be born into ANY life and yet this does not dictate the potential of who you can become.
