My Approach to Helping
All psychotherapy comes down to deepening the individual’s connection to their self. When we lose that connection to ourselves, all other connections in our life suffer.
To break through those barriers keeping us disconnected, I use an eclectic approach to meet the individual’s needs: psychodynamic psychology to understand how the individual’s past obstructs their present; cognitive therapeutic skills to combat the blockages so the individual can fully engage in their life; as well as existential-oriented psychologies to lead the individual toward greater meaning and purpose.
Everything in therapy is done in service of deepening the individual’s connection with their self. The psychotherapeutic process is one of self-discovery. During this process, you will find, surprise, and ultimately inspire yourself.
