My Approach to Helping
Welcome to the “new” you and your new normal! Sit back and let the journey of healing begin.
Brandie has been in the mental health field for 21 years in a variety of settings. Her experience ranges from working in a juvenile detention center, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, community mental health centers, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and outpatient counseling centers. She has worked with major mental health, families, couples, as well as children and adolescents. Her primary focus in the past 8 years has been on children and adolescents (more specifically adolescents). She specializes in working with families, couples, and adolescents.
Brandie completed her Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at Langston University. She is a former military child and spouse with ample experience in navigating changes through multiple moves throughout her life. She is a mother of a child with autism and understands the stressors of being a caregiver of a person with a disability. She utilizes multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to name a few.
We will work together to develop your therapeutic goals. We all know life tends to show up whether we are ready or not. Brandie understands the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship that is genuine and promotes growth. While she may have a direct approach, she is also warm and caring. Her ultimate goal is to ensure that her clients become the best version of themselves.
