My Approach to Helping

Thank you for visiting my page. I understand and appreciate that reaching out for support is not easy. Through the brave action of engaging in therapy, I believe clients gift themselves an opportunity to gain powerful insights, grow in self-awareness, cultivate a deeper connection to themselves and others, and ultimately move toward lasting change. My role as therapist is to facilitate and support this process within the structure of a warm, safe, and non-judgmental environment where all - regardless of race, religion, identity, or background - are included and welcome.

More Info About My Practice

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12+ years' experience in providing direct client psychotherapy services. My approach to therapy is integrative, relational, and strengths-based. I focus on where clients are "in the here and now,” while also guiding them towards making connections between past experiences, relationalbehavioral patterns, and present-day challenges.

Although I practice as a generalist, my areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, relationships, communication, identity formation, life transitions, self-esteem, women’s issues, grief & loss, abuse, trauma and more. I have extensive experience working in college counseling centers with the 18-24 year old population across a broad range of developmental, academic, social, emotional and psychological concerns. Additionally, I have served in community-based mental health, secondary schools, and in private practice settings. I look forward to connecting with you.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

One of the best determinants of positive outcomes in therapy is the strength of the relationship between the client and therapist. I am here to support and serve all clients. If you are on the fence as to whether I may be a good fit for you, I'd love to schedule a free phone consultation for you to get a sense of who I am, how I work, and whether or not you feel comfortable moving forward.
