My Approach to Helping

Bill Wilder offers integrative and specialized psychotherapy using non-traditional methods achieving superior results faster than traditional therapy. Using a combination of the best of traditional psychotherapy, deep breathing, and cold+hot hydrotherapy to unlock inner strength and transform every area of your life. In a matter of hours, you will achieve a more powerful transformation than you would in years of traditional psychotherapy. Bill provides integrative solutions to connect the mind, body, and spirit in a powerful way. Bill's method is a research-based approach that is on the cutting edge of mental health treatment.

Bill specializes in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, addictions, adolescent issues, men's issues, and relationship struggles. Bill has extensive experience working in outpatient clinics, intensive in-home therapy helping families and young people find solutions to complex trauma, and offering solutions that deliver life-transforming results.

More Info About My Practice

A variety of customized experiences are offered to give people skills and tools to heal and manage anxiety, relationship struggles, and depression by unlocking inner resources and resiliency from within. Your service will be customized for your needs, goals, and personal budget.

Wilder Wellness Center is outcome and result-focused. We specialize in short-term intensive programs that give you months of progress in a matter of hours.

“I received more from the 5 hours customized experience than I did in years of traditional talk therapy. Traditional talk therapy left me feeling frustrated spinning in circles. "

Here is a list of the services:

-Personalized Intensive retreats (1, 2, and 3 days): These personal retreats are customized for you and they are the best way to receive radical transformation in a short period of time. These retreats are suited for people at a transition point in their lives and are tired of being stuck in the same old pattern and need a reset to help them break through to the next stage of their life.

-Individual therapy: The Wilder Method is different from traditional approaches as you will engage your body and unlock resiliency and willpower from within. This approach will give you instant awareness of exactly what you need to change and give you the embodied tools to create a big change in your life.

-Family and Adolescent Therapy: The Wilder method is very impactful when verbal approaches fail to work with a young person or if there are unspoken hurts or trauma that have a person stuck. Bill specialized in adolescent and family therapy in his past career as a traditional counselor and utilizes his expertise with helping mend parent-child relationships.

-Couples therapy: The Wilder Method is a great starting point for couples who are weary of feeling worse after couples counseling. Traditional couples counseling is largely not very helpful at getting to the root of the situation as the Fight-Flight-Freeze part of the brain is often so activated many times sessions revolve around trying to prove your point and often times leave couples worse as the sessions only last for 60-90 minutes. The Wilder Method couples retreat focused on the individuality of each person and encourage the use of reason, honesty, and respect as a central intervention for helping work toward forgiveness and reconciliation.

How is the Wilder Method different from traditional counseling?

The Wilder Method utilizes ancient and primary forms of therapy, specifically cold and hot hydrotherapy and deep breathing techniques in combination with a precise, diagnostic assessment and treatment system. It is designed to awaken the inner resources needed to overcome debilitating anxiety, relationship struggles, depression, and other challenges.

Our ancestors thrived because they were deeply connected to inner resilience. This resilience enabled deep healing and empowered control of their “fear response” in the face of distress. Willpower and courage forged through fear. Action, necessary to survive and thrive, ruled the day.

Unlocking this instinctual and intuitive resilience is the vital, missing component in most modern-day therapy approaches.

Traditional therapy can take months to achieve what we can achieve in a matter of hours with our cutting-edge approach. You will go deeper, further, and faster than you ever thought possible.
