My Approach to Helping

You’re not broken — you’re overwhelmed. Maybe by the past, your relationships, or just the pressure of trying to keep it all together. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to explain everything or be perfect. You get to slow down, feel what’s actually going on underneath the surface, and begin making sense of your story.

I work with adults, couples, and families who are navigating trauma, emotional dysregulation, addiction recovery, and relationship strain. My approach is grounded in deep listening, emotional safety, and real honesty. Together, we’ll explore the patterns and pain that keep showing up — not just to manage symptoms, but to actually move through them.

I draw from psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, family systems, and somatic work. That means we look at both your past and your present, the emotional and the relational, the mental and the physical. Whether we’re working through anxiety, grief, intimacy issues, or childhood wounds, I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself and others in a more grounded way.

This work can be hard. But it’s also liberating. And you don’t have to do it alone.

More Info About My Practice

I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating stress, relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. My practice is grounded in depth-oriented therapy — I don’t just help you cope, I help you understand the “why” beneath your emotions and patterns so that you can create lasting change. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals, parents, or partners who are used to pushing through — but who are finally ready to slow down and reclaim clarity, connection, and confidence.

Sessions are offered both in-person in Cornelius, North Carolina, and virtually for clients across North Carolina and Colorado. I also offer intensive couples therapy sessions for those seeking more rapid insight and momentum. I bring a calm, emotionally attuned presence and a trauma-informed approach that blends psychodynamic therapy, somatic work, and emotional regulation strategies.

Whether you’re coming to therapy to unpack the past or find your footing in the present, this space is designed to support your deeper healing.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Choosing to go to therapy isn't a sign that something's wrong with you. It's a sign that you're ready for more. More clarity, more peace, more connection. It takes strength to pause and say, I need space to work through this. It takes courage to look inward when the world keeps telling you to just push through.

Many of my clients are high-performing adults, parents, and partners who are used to being the strong one. But carrying it all without support isn't sustainable. Therapy isn't about fixing you. It's about helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been buried under pressure, pain, or patterns that no longer serve you.

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. You just need to be honest enough to say, I want things to feel better than this. That's not weakness that's wisdom.
