My Approach to Helping

I am uniquely equipped to help those who suffer from anxiety, depression, relational disappointment, grief and loss. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life who desire to understand, make needed change and enjoy the life they were meant to live. When you meet with me, you'll find a safe, non-judgmental space to be supported, encouraged and challenged. I hope you'll take the courageous first step to call.

More Info About My Practice

My clinical experience includes providing a wide range of counseling services to adult individuals, adolescents, groups and couples. I help my clients work through grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relational stress, adjustment concerns and low self-esteem along with those desiring to increase their life satisfaction through personal growth counseling. I have worked at university counseling centers, community mental health agencies, in outpatient counseling centers and in private practice. I am also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator.

My clinical approach to therapy is called Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. This approach is primarily about understanding oneself in order to navigate relationships and life experiences in a more healthy growth oriented manner.

My Role as a Therapist

My approach to therapy combines empathy, safety and trust and is very collaborative.

Groups I Work With

I am a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator. The shame research of Dr. Brené Brown informs the work I do with all my clients. I believe that if we get get clear with how shame impacts our processes and responses we can have agency over that shame rather than being controlled or paralyzed by it.
