What's My Approach to Therapy?
Hello, hope all is well with you as you consider choosing a therapist for your individual needs. I have been in the medical and mental health professions for 25 years. I enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals and working toward improving their lives.
My approach to therapy is holistic due to the connection between the body and mind working together to be healthy.
I often utilize simple assessments to assist in arriving at a diagnosis. Some clients have very few diagnoses and simply need to talk things out, while other clients may have major mental health conditions. I often can refer out if a client is in need of medications to assist them in their journey towards healing.
My decision to become a marriage and family therapist was influenced by negative experiences in my life. I have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety. I am happy to be living a fuller life through past therapy experiences.
It is also important for me that each client has their own individual needs. I collaborate with each client to ensure we are on the right track for a healthier, happier life. Thank you in advance for trusting me with your therapeutic needs.
