I have worked in the mental health field for over 11 years in various roles with people of all different walks of life. My goal is to facilitate a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your experiences, values, beliefs, identity, and relationships, so you can identify and work towards your preferred way of being. This often involves deconstruction of various social ideas and messages, as well as processing of the experiences and feelings that are a result of these dominant narratives of our society. Depending on your preferences or interests, various artistic or creative practices could be incorporated into our meetings in order to further explore your focus. You have already been on this journey before reaching out, so we will build on the work you have already done.

Therapy is an invitation from you to me to join you on your journey. My focus during our meetings is to honor that invitation by listening, believing, and respecting your humanity, autonomy, beliefs, needs, and experiences. Then work collaboratively with you toward the goals or satisfaction you desire. This means I am not an advice giver, but instead work to aid you in elevating your beliefs, experiences, values, and voice in your own life and with others. You are the expert in your own life and relationships, and part of my role is to reinforce that. My role is also acknowledging and upsetting the power dynamics inherent our clinical relationship due to the privilege of my role and identity, in order help you to retain autonomy and choices.
