My Approach to Helping
Ava has provided counseling for over 13 years. She enjoys working with those who are looking to make a change and with those who simply want to incorporate therapy as a form of self-care. Ava has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She also has extensive knowledge of military life, parenting, and navigating life with a history of trauma.
Ava is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and uses an integrative approach with her clients primarily focused with use of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Mindfulness.
