My Approach to Helping
I welcome all individuals on the path of exploration and healing, including children, teens and adults. I have a passion for helping others and provide a trusting, non-judgmental, and safe space for others to tell their stories, slay their demons, and achieve their goals.
Using a collaborative approach, I personalize my therapeutic style to the specific needs of clients by drawing on a variety of techniques and strategies. We will work together at your pace on what is important to you. We will collaborate to address immediate symptoms and concerns as well as the underlying causes of the challenges you face, regardless of how insurmountable they may feel now. “It isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. Parents often worry when their children and teens stop communicating. Therapy can be a wonderful place to form a safe and consistent alliance, where they can begin to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, what they have witnessed and experienced so far, how to express themselves constructively, and the types of relationships they want to have with themselves and others. We often take many intra- and inter-personal skills for granted. Therapy can help teach skills in a collaborative and nonjudgmental environment and provide children the psychologically safe environment necessary to approach difficult topics and experiences.
