My Approach to Helping
My name is Anand Vyas, PhD, NCC, LPC, also known as Dr. V. I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 10 years of professional experience. My therapeutic approach is warm, insightful, holistic, and down-to-earth. My passion is to provide effective care services that treat the entire person promoting healing in mind, body, and spirit.
I work with adults, teenagers, and children. By integrating evidence-based psychotherapy along with techniques such as medical meditation, therapeutic hypnosis, mindfulness, breathwork, and yoga therapy, I can help you to resolve adverse issues, improve your health, and reach your full potential.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas, a nationally certified counselor, a certified medical meditation and stress management consultant, a certified anger resolution therapist, a certified provider of mindfulness-based stress reduction for teens, and a hypnotherapist. I am also an active member of the American Counseling Association and the American Psychological Association.
I reside in Sugar Land along with my wife and son. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, martial arts, meditation, yoga, bike riding, hiking, and spending time in nature. I have a passion for learning about new technologies, different cultures, philosophies, and languages.
My Goal: To help you experience improved health, success, happiness, peace of mind, personal growth, and independence.
Location: Our practice is ideally situated in Sugar Land Town Square, in Sugar Land, TX. We offer a therapeutic environment that is secure, comfortable, and confidential. You can go for a stroll around the fountains, have a coffee, or grab a bite to eat before or after your appointment.

-MINDFULNESS PROGRAMS & COURSES OFFERED:-
1) Mindfulness Course for Kids (Eight 60-minute Individual Sessions):
Is your child easily distracted, anxious, or stressed? We offer an 8-week mindfulness course that teaches young children how to improve their concentration skills and effectively manage anxiety, stress, anger, and other mood issues. The techniques taught in this course will help kids to find balance and success in their family, school, and social life. Children aged 8-13 years are invited.
2) Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course for Teens (MBSR-T) Eight 75-minute Individual Sessions:
Does your teen feel overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety or stress? Is he or she experiencing a lack of motivation, peer pressure, or trouble focusing? If so, we provide an 8-week MBSR-T course that helps teenagers learn healthy techniques for coping with stress, improving concentration, and managing emotional issues. Your teen will receive the professional support needed to get his or her social, family, and school life back on track.
3) Mindfulness Course for Professionals and Busy Moms (Six 75-minute Individual Sessions):
We offer a 6-week course to help adults manage a range of concerns such as panic, stress, anger, anxiety, emotional issues, and sleep issues. We will guide you on how to train your mind to experience stillness, emotional freedom, and peace. By incorporating mindfulness into your daily activities, you will experience positive change and better balance in your professional and personal life.
