My Approach to Helping

My approach is collaborative, warm, and shame-reducing, while attending to experiences of marginalization and oppression that can often lead to isolation and disconnection from others. While the stress of life can be serious and overwhelming at times, I enjoy incorporating humor where appropriate and slowing down to express gratitude.

More Info About My Practice

IntraSpectrum Counseling is Chicago’s leading psychotherapy practice dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community. We strive to provide the highest quality mental health care for multicultural, kink, polyamorous, and intersectional issues, and sensitive, affirmative individual, couples, family and group therapy to all clients, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity – all are welcome. IntraSpectrum Counseling has three locations in the Chicago area (Andersonville & The Loop), and we offer both in-person and online therapy.

My Therapy Focus

I believe change and healing occur within the context of authentic, mutually empowering relationships, and view myself as a co-pilot in the therapy room with clients. I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe to bring in all aspects of their identity. I take a relational-cultural approach to therapy and feel passionately about working from a feminist, anti-racist, sex-positive, and body-inclusive framework.
