My Approach to Helping
Josh Joseph is a holistic practitioner and believes in each individual's ability to heal their lives. He is a Master of Sciences graduate, Licensed Professional Counselor, Life & Career Coach, Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, Reiki Master Practitioner, husband, father of twins, gardener, hiker, and an owner of one loving dog and one playful cat. He believes in meeting his clients where they are in the present moment, while using a variety of tools and expertise in order to help them create new approaches to moving forward.
Josh’s approach is multi-cultural, compassionate, safe, and hopeful. His areas of focus, research, and practice include guiding his clients through issues related to anxiety, depression, substance use, adjustment, and lifecareer coaching. He works with adolescents and adults under 70 years of age.
Josh Joseph is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University’s CACREP Accredited graduate school program. He served as Vice-President of Chi Sigma Iota (International and Professional academic honor society for counseling students, counselor educators, and professional counselors). In addition, Josh received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature – Creative Writing, with a minor in Religious Studies from University of Central Florida.
Josh is a Certified International Transgender Counseling Association (ITCA) Mental Health Provider, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, Advanced Reiki Trainer, and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator. He has also received a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training certification. In addition, he has engaged in advanced Motivational Interviewing (MI) training, over 5 years of peer-to-peer mentoring, has attended Harvard Medical School’s Benson-Henry Institute of Mind-Body Medicine’s continual medical education (CME) conference in 2019, and both the Ericksonian Institute’s Evolution of Psychotherapy conference in 2017, and the Ericksonian Institute’s 13th International Congress on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in 2019.
