What's My Approach to Therapy?
Life’s challenges can leave a lasting impact not only on our thoughts and emotions, but also on our bodies. Lisa Taylor believes in supporting the whole person – mind and body – by helping clients build awareness, develop coping tools, and reconnect with their own strengths. She incorporates somatic practices and mindfulness to help clients feel more grounded, present, and resilient. Lisa creates a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can take place, using a trauma-informed and body-centered approach to support lasting change.

She also collaborates closely with families to ensure the best outcomes. In addition, Lisa has experience supporting individuals dealing with anger and substance use, always striving to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for growth and healing.
Outside of Foundations Counseling, Lisa enjoys spending time in nature through hiking and camping, often accompanied by her dog, Jerry. She also has a passion for baking and is a lifelong rock collector. During the winter months, she enjoys skiing and reading – particularly psychological thrillers and self-help books, and recommendations are well encouraged!
