Princeton Junction is an unincorporated community and census place in Mercer County, New Jersey. The community is situated in West Windsor Township and has a land area of 2 square miles. It is the home of the famous Princeton University.

Mental Health in Princeton Junction

Opioid addiction is a growing problem in West Windsor Township and Mercer County. From 2014 to 2015, the total number of fatal overdoses in the county rose from 38 to 55. In 2016, over 1,300 county residents were admitted into substance abuse treatment for opioid abuse.

To address this issue, the West Windsor Police Department launched the CARE (Community Addiction Recovery Effort) program in 2016. The program is designed to help individuals who are arrested for opioid abuse and/or possession. Under the CARE program, individuals experiencing substance addiction connect with a trained recovery coach who can guide them toward appropriate treatment.
