My Approach to Therapy

Women deserve spaces where they feel emotionally safe enough to become fully themselves. I provide virtual psychotherapy for women seeking support for sexual trauma recovery, PTSD, C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, identity concerns, and life transitions. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or one step in a longer healing journey, I am honored to walk alongside you. My goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where women feel seen, heard, respected, valued, and supported as they move toward healing and authenticity. Through trauma-informed, affirming psychotherapy, I strive to create an environment where women can reconnect with themselves, reclaim their voices, strengthen self-trust, and move toward lives that feel more authentic, meaningful, and emotionally free. You are welcome here. Healing is not about becoming someone different. It is about coming home to yourself.

My Practice & Services

Why I Do This Work: I am passionate about helping women become their most authentic, empowered, and fulfilled selves. I want women who have experienced sexual trauma to know that recovery is possible. I want women who have spent years carrying pain, shame, fear, or self-doubt to know that healing can happen. I want women who feel invisible to know that they deserve to be seen. I want women who feel unheard to know that their voices matter. I want women who have spent their lives caring for others to know that they, too, deserve care, support, respect, and compassion. I am an out and proud lesbian psychologist. I welcome the opportunity to provide services to lesbian-identifying women who are seeking an out provider to help them process concerns related to trauma, relationships, identity, life transitions, mental health, or personal growth. Many women find comfort in working with a provider who understands aspects of their lived experience and identity. My goal is to provide a space where women feel seen, heard, respected, and valued. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where women can reconnect with themselves, honor their resilience, and move toward lives that reflect their worth, strength, and humanity. There is hope. You do not have to do this alone. Alicia A. Williams, Ed.D., HSPP Licensed Psychologist Certified Telehealth Provider Serving:women in: CT • DE • FL • IA • NJ • PA • VA • VT • WA • WI
