Counseling is a unique and effective way to foster change. I like to think of it as the art of slowing down so you can get somewhere. I help you put on brakes and shift gears so that you can begin to align yourself with your core values and intentions for change. To support this transition, I engage with you in mindful, relational, experimental and soulful ways. Drawing from my long-time practice of yoga, meditation and Buddhist teachings, I encourage body-based inquiries whenever possible. These approaches increase self-awareness and your ability to be in authentic contact with your self, your desires and resources. Anything is possible from here on. I look forward to getting there with you.

More Info About My Practice

I don't bill insurance but reserve some reduced fee slots for students, senior citizen and clients with financial constraints.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I specialize in grief and loss, infertility and adoption, couples work and major life transitions such as starting a family, mid-life reflection, divorce and separation.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is to facilitate self-awareness and healing. I support you in this by bringing curiosity, flexibility, creativity and courage to our sessions, by listening non-judgmentally to your story, by following and eliciting your internal process toward change, and by trusting in the healing power of supportive relationships.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

We all, at times, need help that goes beyond the resources we typically rely on. This is not a sign of failure or weakness but an expression of our interconnectedness as human beings. We are socially wired to create community, and to turn to community in times of struggle. As a counselor, I am part of this web. I am here to support and uplift you so that you may, in time and in your own way, support and uplift others.
