My Approach to Helping
Most days you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, lost, empty, and numb - and you're not sure how to talk about it, let alone understand what's really going on. Maybe you don't know what's causing you to feel this way, and judge yourself for it. Maybe you do know, but wish you could just forget and move on. Or maybe you doubt yourself, telling yourself that nothing happened and you're making it worse than it was. You're so tired of feeling this way. You just want to feel happy and connected, like your life has purpose and meaning. Like you belong. I get it! Let's work to heal this together.
Therapy can be more than a place to just talk - it can be a place to reclaim your wholeness from trauma and abuse; to build a safe and trusting relationship with your body; to discover your self through art and music; and to feed your spirit through deep connection.
I specialize in supporting folks who want to heal and transform from the wounds of trauma. Together we'll use the tools of deep body awareness and mindfulness, arts explorations such as listening to music, drawing, or journal writing, guided visualizations and depth hypnotherapy, applied shamanic counseling, and integrative body practices to explore, understand, and heal from the wounds that trap you.
