How Psychotherapy Can Help

Do you struggle to develop and maintain relationships with important people in your life? Are you experiencing stress, anxiety, or sadness related to loss or change in your life?

There are countless reasons why you may be looking for a therapist. Committing to taking care of your emotional self is an important step toward a healthier and happier future. When you invest energy into exploring and applying solutions to the stressful circumstances of your life, you will free yourself to experience the joy that life has to offer.
Together, we will build skills that will help you manage the ups and downs of life and create the lasting change you want to see.

Individualized therapy can help you work through a difficult life transition, build rewarding relationships, and address deeper sadness and anxiety you may be experiencing. We all can use extra support sometimes.

My Role as a Therapist

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive space for us to work together to find the solutions that are right for you. Together we will strengthen your ability to manage life's ups and downs and create the lasting change you seek in your life.

We will work closely together to create a collaborative relationship in which we can find a path to lasting change for you. When you invest the time and energy in exploring and applying solutions, I believe it frees you to experience the joy that your life has to offer. I am honored as a therapist to have an opportunity to walk with the individuals with whom I work as they move forward on their journey toward growth and healing.

Together, we will help you create the growth and change that you want to see.

I also have specialized training in play therapy. If you would like to learn more about my play therapy services, please contact me.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Some people find weekly sessions the most productive. Others feel that bi-weekly or monthly sessions are the right pace for them.

For me, the length of time you participate in therapy will always be your decision. Many people find that they can meet their goals within a few months of treatment. Most of the individuals with whom I work choose to participate in more long-term, ongoing therapy. They find that they continue to benefit from the services even after meeting their initial goals.
