Human beings are complex creatures. Many of us want to be known in deep, intimate ways. I'm here to help you understand your deeper Self so that you can unwind your past, release blocks, learn new practices, and live your most authentic and aligned life story.

As a depth-oriented psychotherapist, my work is influenced by psychodynamic, Gestalt, and Jungian theories, among others. My approach to healing is holistic, strength-based, and creative. I may use different methods/approaches in your treatment, depending on the nature of your healing work.

I have extensive experience working with parents, single parents, college & graduate students, young professionals, creatives, urban mystics, and those in the middle of their life journeys. I can assist you in navigating relationship choices, managing cultural differences, moving through depression, anxiety, fear, guilt, or worry patterns, understanding your deeper patterns and behaviors, and healing from trauma. I've helped those going through major life changes such as divorce, separation, career shifts, the death of a loved one, or a major change of residence. I often help clients navigate the confusing and conflicting feelings that result from such major life changes, and process any trauma, so that clients can keep moving forward in their lives, feeling full and free.

If you are ready to release pain and move towards healing and growth, please feel free to get in touch. Welcome to my practice! It's so nice to meet you!

More Info About My Practice

My fees start at $140 per session for a standard 50-minute hour. I also have options for 75-min and 90-min sessions, for clients who may need more time. Please visit my website under "Rates" for more information. I hold a few sliding scale spots for those in financial need, such as graduate students and single parents.

My office hours are Tuesdays from 8am-2:30pm, Wednesdays from 8am-2:30pm, and Saturdays and Sundays by appointment.

I currently do not accept insurance, but I can provide an invoice for insurance reimbursement as an out-of-network provider.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

I strive to remember that the client is the one doing the healing. All we therapists can do is be a channel for presence, guidance, laser-like tracking, and encouragement. The client is the one who does the work. If they are not ready to receive the message, it's okay. If they need to hold onto suffering or pain a while longer, it is okay. Healing comes when they are ready for it, not when the therapist is ready. It is not for us to wrest their struggle from them. Indeed, it is the struggle that makes them stronger, better, and more equipped to handle life going forward.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Healing ourselves from trauma and heartbreak is no minor feat. Life, at one point or another, will test us with suffering, defeat, despair, and heartache. My own experience with healing from trauma has made me more compassionate and understanding with those who are going through similar issues. I was fortunate enough to find a guide and teacher in the form of a therapist who was patient with my process. Even in my most stressful and maddeningly repetitive phases, he continued to help me with curiosity, intention, empathy, and non-judgmental presence, always, holding the possibility for my healing up for me to reach.
