My Approach to Therapy

Have you been working hard to create a fulfilling life, only to find yourself feeling anxious, dissatisfied, or caught in patterns you don’t fully understand? Sometimes, the very ways we’ve learned to navigate life, by striving, staying in control, or putting others’ needs first, can begin to get in the way of the life and relationships we aspire to. As a depth therapist, I support you to derive meaning from life’s inherent challenges while developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of yourself. Together, we can illuminate and gently challenge unconsciously held beliefs and patterns of behavior that may no longer serve you. While pain is an inevitable part of life, suffering does not have to define your experience. Therapy can help you become more conscious of these patterns and learn more adaptive ways of responding to life’s challenges. My approach is warm, empathic, and collaborative. I find that mindfulness, self-compassion, and a sense of humor are helpful allies as the work unfolds. I offer a free initial phone consultation to answer any questions and help you determine whether we might be a good fit. I offer in-person therapy in my Presidio Heights office on Sacramento Street in San Francisco, as well as secure online therapy for adults throughout California. To learn more, please visit the Contact page on my website at saritaredalia.com or call my confidential voicemail.

My Practice & Services

Do you long to feel more at ease with yourself and more fulfilled in your life, but find yourself caught in patterns that get in the way? You may be someone who thinks and feels deeply and expects a great deal from yourself and your life. If you’re highly sensitive, perfectionistic, or self-critical, you may find yourself caught in patterns that leave you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself or others. Perhaps you have reached a point where insight alone is no longer enough, and you want to make meaningful changes in how you feel about yourself and your life. My approach is relational, psychodynamic, and depth-oriented. Together, we can explore the unconscious beliefs and patterns that shape how you see yourself, relate to others, and respond to life’s challenges. As these patterns become more conscious, you can begin to question what no longer serves you and develop greater freedom in how you think, feel, and respond. Mindfulness, self-compassion, creativity, and humor work together to support this process, helping you deepen your self-understanding and reconnect with what nurtures and sustains you. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out. I see clients in person at my Presidio Heights office on Sacramento Street in San Francisco and online throughout California. Sessions are 50 minutes, with 75-minute sessions available when more time would be helpful. I am a private-pay therapist and can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network insurance reimbursement. I offer a free initial phone consultation to answer your questions and schedule an appointment for therapy. If you’d like to learn more or schedule a free phone consultation, please call my confidential voicemail or visit the Contact page at saritaredalia.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
