My Approach to Helping
It is during challenging times such as these when one is often afforded the greatest opportunity for transformation and healing. If you’re feeling lost, broken, or like you've exhausted your resources to cope with life, it may be a good time to start therapy. Whether you’re depressed, overwhelmed, or struggling in relationship, my goal is to use my twenty years of experience as a psychotherapist to help you relieve suffering and arrive at a deeper understanding and appreciation for yourself. Pain is sometimes inevitable in life, but suffering need not be.
Psychotherapy is a powerful tool to uncover unconsciously held beliefs and change patterns of behavior. The experience of depression, anxiety, or relationship challenges can often be an invitation to new growth. In my practice, I will invite you to start where you’re at. I find self-compassion and a sense of humor to be helpful allies as the process unfolds.
My therapeutic approach is warm, empathic, and collaborative. I offer a free telephone consultation to answer any questions you may have and discuss how we might work together. I am currently taking new clients, and offering phone and video sessions. For more information about my practice, please see my website. I look forward to hearing from you.
