What's My Approach to Therapy?
If you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, these difficulties may present an invitation to new growth. The potential for growth or healing can be difficult to see at first, since these struggles often feel heavy and isolating. Even in the midst of these challenges, it is possible to find support, care, and a way forward. If you’re navigating trauma, grief, or major life transitions and have exhausted your resources to cope, there is hope and you do not have to face these challenges alone.
As a depth therapist, I strive to help you to derive meaning from life’s inherent challenges while fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of yourself. I work to illuminate and challenge the unconsciously held beliefs and patterns of behavior that are often at the root of suffering. While pain is an inevitable part of life, additional suffering from self-criticism, rumination, or disconnection does not have to define your experience. Therapy can help you notice these patterns and find ways to meet life’s challenges with more understanding, care, and resilience.
I find that mindfulness, self-compassion, and a sense of humor are helpful allies as the work unfolds. My approach is warm, empathic, and collaborative. I offer a free initial phone consultation to answer your questions and help you get started with therapy. Sessions are available in-person at my Union Street office in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco, or online throughout California.

My Practice & Services
I work with adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, or major life transitions. While these experiences can feel difficult, they often hold opportunities for insight, growth, and meaningful change.
My approach is relational, psychodynamic, and depth-oriented. I help clients explore unconscious beliefs and patterns that contribute to self-criticism or disconnection. I integrate mindfulness, self-compassion, creativity, and humor to cultivate insight, resilience, and emotional well-being. Together, we focus on developing practical strategies, deepening self-understanding, and reconnecting with what nurtures and sustains you.
I see clients in-person at my Union Street office in San Francisco and online throughout California. Sessions typically last 50 minutes, with 75-minute sessions also available for more in-depth support. I am a private pay provider, but can provide a superbill for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. I offer a free initial phone consultation to answer any questions or to schedule an appointment for therapy.
