My main focus it to treat the whole person whatever the situation might be. We all interpret events differently and feel the effects of them differently - no issue or emotion is insignificant. My goal is to ensure a nonjudgmental, welcoming environment and help to free you from whatever is holding you back. I want to help you find the tools you need to live a happier life with less depression, anxiety, stress, or whatever it might be. We will practice coping skills, including mindfulness and meditation, so that you can take control of your emotions and feel more grounded. We will work to unblock negative beliefs and reframe them into positive cognitions so you can live more freely. I want to help you be be your best self.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

I suggest coming in for at least an initial session - we can talk about your concerns, what you are dealing with, what your expectation are, what coping skills you use and/or what supports or resources you have. We can discuss how we can work together, recommendations, and make a plan. It is then your decision whether you want to continue to explore your new journey or wait until you feel more ready to take action.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Taking the first step and asking for help takes strength - it can be beneficial to have an objective point of view or someone to give you her full attention. Therapy can help you grow as a person which often means learning to process or accept our past and/or present. Think of the airline oxygen mask speech - you need to help yourself before you can help others.
