My Approach to Helping
Olivia Phillips brings a fresh perspective to counseling with the belief that every person sees the world through their own lens. Dedicated to empowering clients in their journey to find their own path, Olivia strives to help others learn how to navigate the complex systems that make up their lives.

Olivia believes that individuals must learn to relate to both the world around them and the world within them in order to attain harmony. This is achieved through heightened self-awareness, self-appreciation, and increased communication.

In addition to individuals, Olivia works with couples, families, adults, adolescents, and children to help them find the best path towards a more fulfilling life. She understands that this process can be quite difficult, and meets every challenge with enthusiasm and acceptance.

Change is the most important constant in our lives, without which we would not be where we are today. However, at times, people need support and a reliable ear to help them through the uncertain times. Olivia provides a safe and judgment free place for her clients to express their concerns, and believes that when someone is brave enough to seek help with a life situation, an amazing transformation takes place.

Olivia has an unwavering belief that every person has the ability to attain a better quality of life, and what that life looks like can be determined only by each individual, couple, or family. She respects each client for who they are and where they are, and shows appreciation for their individuality. Olivia truly enjoys working with clients, as it is the highest honor one person can give to let you into their struggle.

At Foundations counseling, Olivia Phillips sees clients who seek counseling for a wide array of reasons, including:

Relationship and family dynamics couples, partners, and marriage counseling, unresolved conflict, intimacy and attachment issues, divorce recovery, affair recovery, couples communication skills, family relational issues
Mental health counseling / health and wellness anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, obesity and weight loss, self-esteem issues, stress management, sleep disorders, trauma and abuse recovery, child mental health issues, adjustment issues
Olivia received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has a double major Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Olivia has lived in a variety of locations, both in the United States and internationally, and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Olivia dedicates herself to deliver a culturally competent, person-centered, growth-focused service to all of her clients to help them attain a level of peace within themselves and with their relationships so that they may get the highest benefit from the world around them.

With extensive experience working with individuals and families from all walks of life, Olivia provides both long and short term counseling for families, couples, individuals, children and adolescents. Olivia's prior experience has been in community mental health, working with underserved populations, community health centers in both Northern Colorado and Buffalo, NY, and in medical missions acting as an interpreter and liaison in medical social work in third world Latin American countries.
