My Approach to Helping

I view therapy as a process that allows me to get to know you, and the things that perhaps aren't currently going your way. I help your explore whatever is on your mind. I approach my work with individuals, couples, and families, as a journey that you have asked me to be a part of, and i feel so fortunate to have this opportunity. I want to make sure that the people I work with feel like they are able to move at the pace that is most comfortable to them, and I will follow your lead. I tend to use a variety of therapeutic techniques based on your personal needs. I believe that each person has individual strengths and talents, however when someone is going through a difficult time, some times they need someone else to remind them of the good inside of them. We often loose sight of ourselves and our potential when we are under stress. I will work with you to help you re-engage with your own strengths in order to promote growth and change. I want to create an environment where you feel safe to explore whatever is on your mind and I check in with you frequently to make sure we are on target with what you want to explore and work on.

More Info About My Practice

My practice offers specialized treatment in trauma. I work with survivors of sexual abuse/assault/rape. I want my office to become a safe place for you to learn how to heal and move forward. I will help you learn to move forward with your life in a way that feels safe. I encourage all of the people i work with that have experienced any type of trauma to work through it at your own pace. Healing takes time and i am here to support you in that endeavor. Please call me to discuss your worries or fears that may come up when you think about talking to someone about this part of your life. I am here to listen and work with you when you are ready. I look forward to hearing from you.
