My communication style is calm, accommodating, humorous, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. I also pride myself in adding a light humorous energy to the session as appropriate to allow clients to have fun and laugh a little during the session.

My name is Mayra Castro and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Woodbridge, Virginia. I will be working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with children, adolescents, and families. I work with youth and families experiencing depression, anxiety, exposure to trauma, recent migration to the U.S., and addiction to substances. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Focused, and Narrative Therapy to help my clients reach their goals and make notable progress on their mental health journey.
