My Approach to Helping
I view therapy as a collaborative journey where developing a safe and trusting relationship is key. I am a therapist who helps my clients gain self-awareness, reduce negative symptoms, express their feelings, change unhealthy relational or addictive patterns, heal early childhood wounds, learn to connect genuinely with others, and to become more authentically themselves. I can use a variety of interpersonal, dynamic, experiential, and cognitive/behavioral interventions during the process of therapy to meet the needs of my clients.
Beginning therapy can be an anxiety provoking decision due to the vulnerable place you may find yourself when seeking counseling. I create that safe and trusting space, so you will feel free to discuss any type of concern or issue. Great transformation can take place when one is ready. It takes courage to make that first step, but once you do, you will begin to create positive change in your life, feel better about yourself and the one's you love. I look forward to beginning this journey with you.
