My Approach to Helping
As the Director of the Relationship Institute, with offices in Royal Oak, Livonia and Ann Arbor, I'm dedicated to helping singles, couples and parents learn the skills and insights necessary to create healthy, loving relationships throughout the lifespan. Regarding romantic relationships, our culture leaves a lot to be desired in teaching us about how to attract, develop and maintain healthy intimate relationships, and we strive to offer the best information, solutions, therapies and workshops to address those needs.

More Info About My Practice
We can accept almost any insurance for our therapy services. Appointments are available Monday - Thursday from 8 am - 10 pm; Friday from 8 am - 7 pm; and Saturday from 8 am - 6 pm. Because of the size of our staff, we can usually accommodate a new client within 1-3 days of your call.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love the challenge and reward of helping people move past places in their emotional, behavioral or relational life that they feel stuck in. Having studied many different modalities of healing and growth, from both Western and Eastern traditions, I feel I have a wide range of techniques and approaches from which to help my clients. Part of what I love is finding the right fit between a person's presenting challenges and the right approach to helping them - given their background; past and present resources; and my experiences with similar issues. I always tell people that being a psychologist and serving people in this way is a privilege and an honor. Understanding the complexities of human behavior is a lifelong passion of mine that I will pursue for the rest of my life.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

When choosing a therapist, you have to feel comfortable with them as a professional and as a human being. What I mean is that if the process is doing to succeed, you must feel safe with this person that you barely know, and trust that they will treat your issues and your life with the utmost respect and kindness. Furthermore, you have to feel that they can help you - that they have both the training and experience with issues like yours, that give them the resources to help you with your current challenges, be they emotional, behavioral, relational or vocational.
