My Approach to Helping
Do people tell you you're too sensitive or moody? Do anxiety or depression keep you from living your life to the fullest? My goal is to help you stop letting emotions run your life and start living a life worth living. My strengths-based approach is depth oriented yet includes practical problem solving when needed. My style is relational, gentle and empathic. I call on my compassion, humor, and down to earth approach to assist in the healing process. I specialize in working with adults and teens.

Well-being and wholeness are innate; my strengths-based approach helps people uncover and claim that well-being, vitality, and creativity -- buried, perhaps, but still intact. People struggling with emotional sensitivity, overwhelm, anxiety, and depression particularly benefit from my approach.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

"On the fence" means that one foot is on the gas pedal and one is on the brake pedal. You can even imagine driving a car to get the feel of moving forward and stopping. Notice which movement is stronger -- the urge to go or the urge to stop -- and trust what you learn. You can now bring what you've learned into conversation with friends or even prospective therapists. Regardless of whether or not you start therapy, you've begun listening to yourself more closely. And that's the whole point.
