My Approach to Helping
The current COVID-19 epidemic creates, for all of us, tremendous challenges and opportunities for compassionate self care. When stressed we are prone to react in ways consistent with our normal responses. The problem is that in times of overwhelming stress our normal reactions are usually not flexible enough to return to feeling better. I use a combination of Mindfulness and cognitive behavioral skill building approaches that are specifically designed to promote greater psychological flexibility to address suffering.
