Presented by Andrea Brognano, LMHC, LPC, NCC on 03-21-2024 at 9 a.m. Pacific (12 p.m. Eastern) to 11 a.m. Pacific (2 p.m. Eastern)

The rise of telehealth has revolutionized the way mental health services are delivered, offering increased accessibility and convenience for clients. However, this paradigm shift also presents unique ethical challenges that therapists must navigate to uphold the highest standards of care and protection for their clients.

In this 2-hour continuing education training for therapists, Andrea Brognano, LMHC will delve into the intricate ethical considerations surrounding telehealth therapy, shedding light on potential pitfalls and providing a robust framework for safeguarding client wellbeing in the virtual space. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the ethical principles governing telehealth practice, including issues of confidentiality, informed consent, professional boundaries, and duty of care. The training will equip therapists with practical strategies for mitigating risks, establishing clear policies, and fostering a secure and therapeutic environment within the digital realm. Additionally, attendees will explore ethical decision-making models and case studies that will prepare them to navigate complex situations with confidence and integrity.

By attending this session, therapists will emerge better equipped to harness the benefits of telehealth while upholding the highest ethical standards, ensuring client safety, and promoting positive therapeutic outcomes.
