My Approach to Helping
Are you worried about your child or adolescent? Are you feeling frustrated that you haven't been able to resolve the conflicts and problems? I specialize in treating children and adolescents who are dealing with depression, relationship conflicts, substance abuse, sexual identity, self-confidence, anger, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, self-mutilation, school issues, and many other challenges. I am a former, awarding-winning principal and nationally-recognized teacher. Combining this experience with being a Ph.D. Psychotherapist, I have a strong, 25-year track record in helping children and adolescents successfully work through difficulties and challenges while supporting families through the process.
Here are some benefits of counseling with me: Decreased depression, defiance. Reduced stress, anxiety. Increased optimism. Improved confidence, self-worth, hope. Emotional healing. Healthier relationships. Happier family life. Increased motivation. Improved school life. Action-oriented results.
I'm a compassionate and caring counselor who is committed to helping families. Please feel free to call (206) 550-3596 to make an appointment. I am confident that, together, we can resolve the issues. -Dr. Kyle Good

My Therapy Focus

I specialize in helping children and adolescents work through a variety of difficult issues. In addition to working individualy with children and adolescents, I incorporate regular, Parent Sessions through which I work directly with parents to understand concerns in the context of the child and family. As I work individually with your child, I pair your knowledge of your child and family with my knowledge of child development and family dynamics. Together we work to understand what your child's behavior may be telling us about what he or she is struggling with. Once understood, the intensity of the behavior can be turned down and other modes of expression developed. When even one person in the family begins to think and/or act differently, the rest of the family tends to respond. We can think about this together and also manage the changes together.
