My Approach to Helping

I am very genuine, caring and down to earth with my clients. My position as a therapist is to provide a safe and healing environment, and to educate my clients on more effective ways of thinking, expressing, or relating to others, and then empower my client to come to his or her own answers. This instills pride and confidence in one's own ability to heal and grow. Children also need to be listened to, honored and empowered. I provide child-centered experiential play therapy for children. Children express, learn and heal through play. I feel it is very important for children to get help, when needed, in order to heal and to have the ability to integrate newly discovered ideals and skills into their lives.

For many people, it can be intimidating starting counseling with someone you haven't met. As a consumer of services, you have a right to choose where you want to go and who you would like to see. The "fit" between the client and the therapist is an important aspect of therapy. Serenity Circle Counseling offers a free initial consultation to allow potential clients to meet the therapist and ask questions about the therapeutic process.
