My Approach to Helping
Are you having finding it difficult to sleep at night? Stressed out in your relationship? Feeling anxious or depressed? Put your mind at ease knowing that there is help out there. All you have to do is pick up the phone and call for a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. I feel that everyone should be able to have their thoughts and feelings heard by a professional counselor if they want that. So often, the price is too much for them to handle or going to a counselor has too much stigma attached to it. I feel we can break down those barriers and come up with a price that is fair for the both of us and also highlight the positive things that you may get out of counseling. I believe that educating and informing people so they can have an informed decision of what they want and what they will be getting in therapy is the ethical way to go. That's how I try to run my life: by being fair and by trying to help people in all walks of life. I also provide treatment and therapy with a collaborative approach, In other words, I want the person/parents having a say in the treatment with my professional opinion and direction. You know yourself better than I do and you know you would like to feel better but just may not know how to get there. That's where I come in: to help guide you and help you bring about change.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The purpose of psychotherapy is for people to have a better understanding of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors they are having and why they are having them now. Sometimes it just is not enough to know these things are there, but to get to the root of why they are there and to at least provide some relief. I believe that people overall want to feel good and have a good life. If thoughts of panic, anxiety, or depression continue in your head and it is hard to pay attention or enjoy life to the fullest, why not go to someone who has been trained to sort out these things and see what is going on? It takes courage to talk with people, especially a stranger. But once the comfort level is established and you realize that this is your own special time, it's amazing how much can be worked on and worked through. The main thing is that psychotherapy is your time to work on what you want. I don't have an agenda except to provide competent and ethical treatment to all.
