My Approach to Helping
I believe meaningful change may begin when you feel seen, heard, and cared for! My approach is integrative. I engage my specialized training and clinical experience utilizing cognitive behavioral, humanistic, family systems, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and somatic methodologies, as well as relationship transitions, co-parenting, reconciliation, discernment counseling, and collaborative divorce practices. Therapeutic support is provided for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, codependency and relationship dynamics, LGBTQ+ identity, and personal growth.
Currently, within my private practice, I work with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families in person and virtually via telehealth. My former positions as a co-clinical director within an addiction and trauma treatment center, a college professor, and a school counselor have informed my clinical perspective and advanced my skill set.
I have been offering clinical services in the mental health field for over 30 years and obtained my Master of Science and Doctoral degrees from the University of Southern California. I am professionally prepared and licensed to practice in California, Utah, and Florida, and also maintain a California Pupil Personnel Service (PPS) credential.
