My Approach to Helping
My practice provides counselling, neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment, and Cogmed Working Memory training.
In assessment, I see my job as providing my clients with information how they think and process information, helping them to use their strengths to support their areas of difficulty. I am very focused on my clients and strive to work with them in a collaborative, supportive, way in order to give them the most useful information and recommendations that I can.
In counselling, I see my role as a collaborative partner. I help my clients to examine the patterns in their life that are limiting them or holding them back, and then help them develop new tools and ways of living.
In my Cogmed training program, I act as a coach to help my clients improve their attention, memory, and impulse control. I work with them to optimize their training and help them get the most that they can from the program.
More Info About My Practice
I have a sliding scale for both therapy and assessment. For assessments, I have a special interest in helping students who have never had a prior assessment, especially teens and young adults (e.g., university students). For these students, I am happy to work with them and the family to ensure that they can get affordable help.
