What's My Approach to Therapy?
Seeking therapy often begins with a quiet realization that something is not working. You may feel anxious without knowing why, stuck in relationship patterns that repeat, overwhelmed by identity questions, struggling with attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), addiction, or emotional regulation, or carrying experiences that feel too heavy to hold alone.
I am a PhD, Licensed Counsellor, and trained psychotherapist with more than 12 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching. My work bridges deep psychological training with real-world application. I have supported individuals, couples, youth, and families across diverse cultural backgrounds, including those navigating neurodivergence, trauma, addiction recovery, relationship conflict, and 2SLGBTQIA+ identity exploration.
My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and mindfulness-based interventions. In addition to clinical practice, I have published research on psychological harm in workplaces, authored books on leadership and mental health, and developed frameworks supporting attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) and autism in both personal and professional contexts. This allows me to see not only symptoms, but patterns, systems, and deeper psychological dynamics that shape your experience.
Clients choose to work with me because they want both depth and direction. Therapy in my practice is thoughtful, structured, and collaborative. We work to understand the root of your struggles, regulate emotional intensity, strengthen relationships, and build sustainable coping strategies. You will find a space that is culturally sensitive, affirming, and grounded in evidence-based care.
If you are looking for a therapist who combines clinical expertise with genuine presence, I invite you to reach out. You do not have to navigate this alone.
