Description
This ongoing Clinical Supervision Group focuses on experiential learning, helping to build competencies through skills practice, bridging the gap of theory into practice with regard to basic and fundamental therapy skills. Using role plays of real therapy clients, we will practice relationship building and rapport repairs, with reflection and feedback. This group involves less didactic instruction and more reflexivity. Where ethical issues arise, the supervisor may be more directive. Rather than discussing feelings about cases, therapists will have a chance to experience being in the role of their client and having other therapists respond, then discuss the different feelings that came up in these roles plays. In this way therapists will build skills and insight towards greater competency and confidence. Six sessions of ongoing participation are expected in order to create and sustain group cohesion and safety for participants to explore. Group is only charged each session not paid up front.
